Academics
Adel Classical Academy believes that in order to have high quality and excellent education teachers must teach scholars objective truth that finds its roots all the way back to the person and work of Jesus Christ who is truth itself. This is why our curriculum and teachers teach all subjects from a Biblical worldview. We focus on truth, beauty and goodness. We help scholars love the things that are worth loving. We believe all subjects have unity because all things are from Him, through Him, and to Him and find their ultimate purpose in glorifying God.

Classical Education
Adel Classical Academy is a liberal arts school in the fullest sense of the meaning. We study material that liberates our children’s minds and hearts. We teach scholars to be critical thinkers who can problem solve and clearly communicate on tough issues. Scholars are not only taught what to learn, but how to learn for themselves. We teach scholars to lead with eloquence, we inspire depth and wisdom, and we help cultivate rightly ordered affections. We do this through subjects which are taught as an integrated whole according to the developmental stage of the children.
Grammar
Here, the youngest scholars learn massive amounts of information that is memorized through song, chants, rhymes and games. Memory work is fun and easy at this stage, so we give them what they have an appetite for.
Logic
This is the time when middle schoolers are curious as to the meaning of things and therefore ask lots of questions. They begin to argue with parents and point out flaws in their logic! So, we cut with the grain and teach them how to order information and rightly present their case, reasoning well and discerning truth.
Rhetoric
This is when high school scholars want to express themselves and communicate their own thoughts. So, we teach scholars how to take the information they’ve memorized, put it in clear coherent terms, and express it winsomely with wisdom, and eloquence. The result is a graduate who thinks critically, knows what they believe and why, and can communicate effectively in order to make a positive impact on the community around them wherever they go and whatever career path choose.
Collaborative
Adel Classical Academy is distinctively “collaborative.” Though this model is new to our community, it has a well-established track record of success across the country. The following provides a brief explanation of the collaborative model we intend to use, as well as resources for further reading and consideration.
